TCPL Pipeline Operations Manager

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. We are seeking to welcome a Pipeline Operations Manager to the Pipeline Operations Team at the Trans-Cameron Pipeline (TCPL), located at our Calcasieu Pass (CP1) LNG location. The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented technical professional with management experience and expertise with pipeline systems in the LNG or natural gas industry. This person will have experience working in both an office and field/site environment.  This person will be able to provide operational leadership, project management and personnel management.

The TCPL Pipeline Operations Manager will work alongside the VG CP1 LNG Operations team, and will provide assurance that the TCPL Pipeline is well maintained and operable at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Provide input in all pipeline matters, including pipeline service delivery, pipeline asset management, planning of right-of-way activity, pipeline integrity strategy, and pipeline facility care and control.
• Provide project management support to Venture Global pipeline projects as needed.
• Act as Owners’ operations representative for both greenfield and brownfield pipeline project scopes.
• Support other functions with permitting, planning and execution activities.
• Prepare reports, assist with presentations related to pipeline operations.
• Review and comment on Engineering deliverables, plans and procedures including pipeline, Meter Stations, compressor stations and other related infrastructure.
• Coordinate support for pipeline projects for permitting, LOTO, regulatory and HSSE needs.
• Manage and coordinate logistical aspects of inland and marine pipeline scopes.
• Support coordination, review and approval of Contractor invoices, change orders and schedules.
• Support and management of regulatory compliance for pipeline assets, including assistance with site audits and field visits and support for PHMSA and FERC visits and/or data request.
• Periodic regional travel between VG offices and sites will be required.
• Work site requires movement on and around elevated and marine based structures, including road and marine craft transport along the ROW.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or commensurate work experience.
• Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills and an aptitude for team building.
• Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC.
• 5 or more years of natural gas pipeline industry experience preferred, with demonstrable experience in Project Engineering or Construction Management.
• Knowledge of applicable natural gas industry construction practices, FERC and agency requirements.
• Understanding of CFR 192 & 195.
• PMP certification a plus.
• Knowledge of engineering design standards and applicable natural gas industry codes and regulations; must stay current on technology, industry standards and material.
• Understands concepts of asset lifecycle management, system reliability and gas transmission operations.
• Excellent verbal and written/electronic communication.
• Strong HSSE commitment and demonstrated HSSE leadership skills.
• Applicant should have the ability to assess the impact of regulatory and commercial aspects on project decisions and to generate ideas to optimize project commercial and technical decision-making.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be capable of driving and being insured in the state of LA and TX at a minimum.
