We’re seeking to hire an ambitious world-class candidate for the role of Technical Account Manager to join our Team based in either Tokyo or Osaka in Japan. The team delivers world class sports science and data analysis services to a broad variety of clients across Europe, the Middle East and Africa and has ambitious growth plans for Japan in 2019.

Location: Tokyo or Osaka, Japan

Term: Full Time.

Hours: Full-time, standard working hours (occasional weekend and after-hours work will be required).

Requirements

  • MSc. in Sport Science, IT or Business-related field.
  • Practical industry experience; either as a practitioner or business development role.


  • BSc. in Sport Science, IT or Business related field.
  • At least 3 years (preferably 5 years) of relevant experience working within an elite sporting environment or Sports Technology Company.
  • A good working knowledge of the performance landscape in elite sport covering areas including but not limited to load management and injury prevention is preferable.
  • Excellent written and spoken Japanese and English.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Excellent IT literacy and proficiency.
  • Excellent Problem Solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage client relationships.
  • Proactive personality, ability to work unsupervised.
  • Willingness and desire to learn and implement new skills.
  • Confident communicator with clients and senior management.
  • Ability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
  • Passion for and understanding of sport.
  • Flexibility to work occasional unsociable hours.


  • Be responsible for client accounts and manage individual relationships to maximise client satisfaction.
  • Work day to day with clients to maximise their use of EDGE10.
  • Assist clients with questions and training requests.
  • Introduce new ideas to clients to reflect EDGE10’s growing focus on world class consultancy based on our global experience.
  • Work with product designers to conceptualise new features and present them to clients for feedback.
  • Keep clients updated on the status of support tickets and upcoming releases.
  • Deliver and manage client projects, working closely with experienced Sports and Data Scientists.
  • Generate New Business Opportunities throughout the Japanese market
  • Deliver external presentations.
  • Provide administrative support to Sales team where required.
