The Basics:

We are looking for a Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager to join our world class Accounting and Finance organization. You will own financial reporting for the Company, be the process owner for internal-use software and equity accounting, as well as drive the adoption and implementation of ASC 842. You will be the “go-to” person for technical accounting, research and communicate any new technical accounting issues and help us navigate new business initiatives and their corresponding accounting impacts. This is a highly visible role within the finance org and will collaborate cross-functionally across the whole company. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, analytical, a great communicator, demonstrates a strong understanding of accounting, and can work effectively across the organization.

What You’ll Do:

• Research any new accounting pronouncements and evaluate how they will impact our financials. Present to management on new and proposed accounting guidance, and the potential impact on the company
• Lead the financial reporting process which includes the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements and any related disclosures
• Responsible for the accounting of stock-based compensation and other equity-related transactions
• Prepare analysis of capitalized software costs under ASC 350 and ASC 985
• Responsible for the preparation of Audit Committee presentation, investor relations financial reporting requests and other ad-hoc reporting requests
• Present new ideas for Audit Committee content directly to the Corporate Controller, including related data analysis and peer company research
• Coordinate and prepare deliverables for the 409A valuation
• Support the company with drafting and reviewing any new and existing policies and ensure compliance with US GAAP
• Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance including design of internal controls, evaluation, testing and remediation

 

 We’re Looking for Someone With:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required, CPA preferred
• Experience:
• 5+ years of Accounting experience, Big 4 and/or SaaS industry experience preferred
• Experience with Netsuite or another large ERP systems a plus
• Other:
• Strong understanding and proficiency of U.S. GAAP
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively facilitate and present in group meetings
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic-thinking skills with a forward-looking focus
• Advanced Excel skills, ability to set up and organize data in a clean format that is easy to update and roll forward
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a team environment working with others
• Demonstrated professional commitment, initiative, accountability and ownership of assignments
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adept at handling change
