Strava is looking for an enthusiastic Technical Campaign Specialist. This pivotal role is responsible for the production and delivery of Strava’s marketing communications, and is a great opportunity for an aspiring email marketer.

About the Role:

The Technical Campaign Specialist will support Strava’s marketing communications team with developing, building, targeting, testing, executing, reporting and optimizing marketing campaigns across email, in-app and push notifications. You will be working with the Email Marketing and CRM Managers, as well with Marketing, Design and Product teams, to develop impactful campaigns that span engagement, brand, product, retention and subscription marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Campaign production. Build, deploy and optimize email and in-app campaigns to the global Strava audience.
  • QA. Ensure that all campaigns are 100% error free, with correct targeting, message and creative.
  • Reporting. Compile campaign reports and develop dashboards for tracking channel performance.
  • Template development. Help design and code beautiful, responsive, personalized email campaigns
  • Targeting and Segmentation. Building audience lists and targeting logic using
  • Meet campaign launch deadlines, balance multiple projects, and proactively communicate delivery status and navigate issues.
  • Quickly become a subject matter expert for email template and program development, as well as the internal marketing platform.

About You

  • 1-2 years in an technical email marketing role with demonstrated success in creating and executing impactful email campaigns.
  • Expert knowledge of HTML/ CSS  for email, including template creation with responsive design.
  • Basic to intermediate SQL skills.
  • Experience with a major ESP, Responsys preferred.
  • Experience with developing campaign reports and generating actionable insights.
  • Highly detail oriented.
  • Basic knowledge of email best practices including design, subject lines, messaging, segmentation, list management, deliverability and CAN-SPAM/anti-spam laws.
  • Self-starter and an impeccable team player.
  • International experience preferred.
