We have an amazing opportunity for a Technical Services Manager to join our services team in Italy.
Octopus Energy Services is spearheading the transition to greener and cheaper energy by installing in-home technologies; from smart meters and EV chargers; to low-carbon heating (Heat Pumps), home batteries, solar, and beyond. We deliver smart energy and low-carbon solutions for our customers.
We’ve fallen head-over-heels with heat pumps - which provide an ultra-efficient, reliable alternative to gas boilers.
You will be responsible for developing the end-to-end processes and helping ensure that we can meet the installation specifications for customers progressing through each touchpoint, providing technical guidance and support to multiple teams throughout the customer journey, helping deliver on our aim of installing thousands of heat pumps into domestic properties across Italy.

What you'll do

  • Support the marketing team to scope and develop a marketing strategy to engage low-carbon customers highlighting technical and regulatory property regulations to maximise conversion.
  • Agree and manage the deliverable KPIs required by the third-party suppliers (surveyors, installers, and product suppliers) to deliver outstanding service and minimise complaints.
  • Map out the customer journey from the initial touch point, through to third-party supplied services and manage to the agreed service levels (SLAs)
  • Collaborate with other team members to share best practices and develop a consistent approach to drive performance across all teams
  • Drive the company technical requirements to meet all regulatory and legal aspects ("Responsabile tecnico") for installation services, starting with low carbon heating (Heat Pumps)

What you'll need

  • Master’s Degree in Management/Mechanical/Energy Engineering - Research, industry or government experience would be beneficial.
  • Skills at taking complex issues and converting them into easily understandable analyses, reports and presentations.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and feel confident communicating your ideas appropriately at all levels of the organisation. This will include leading and presenting at meetings.
  • The ability to handle competing priorities/deadlines whilst delivering high-quality outputs. We are looking for someone.
  • well organised and can develop and implement work plans to meet tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable developing successful relationships with clients, policymakers and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships internally and externally; a successful team player who is committed to working collaboratively.
  • Demonstrate a passion for supporting the move to a greener economy.
  • It would be beneficial (not essential) to also have experience in technologies such as heat pumps, solar PV, battery storage & electrical equipment
  • Fluent spoken and written English is required
