Job Summary

NextEV designs and builds smart, high performance electric vehicles, with the aim to provide the ultimate user experience, and become the world’s first “User Enterprise”. We are looking for latest technologies which can be applied on or off vehicles to provide best user experience for our customers. As the Technology Scouting Manager at our Silicon Valley office, you will be working with Strategy & Planning team in Supply Chain function and responsible for identify emerging technologies and related suppliers in different stages, channel technology related information into internal teams and work with other teams globally to develop new technology adoption plans.
Essential Functions
·         Lead Technical IP strategy/landscaping for advance projects and business needs, in close global collaboration with Supply Chain, Business Development and Legal.
·         Work with development team to build commercialization opportunities from open innovation leads
·         Liaise with external network and actively connect internal partners across development and business functions
·         Lead Knowledge Management to establish new technology trend and partner/supplier base
Required Skills and Knowledge
·         Passionate to create the new and different
·         Broad knowledge in technology space related to cars, consumer electronics, user experience
·         Broad network in/to tech space, start-ups, incubators, tech leaders, conferences and solution providers
·         Innovative, think out-of-the-box. Action oriented with learning agility and strategic agility. Learns quickly when facing new problems. See ahead clearly and can anticipate future consequences and trends
·         Creative but systematic approach for complex problems
·         Excellent verbal and written skills
·         Experience with tech startup is a plus
·         Mandarin speaking is a plus
·         Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering, business, or business related field.
·         Minimum 5 years related experience in Automotive or Consumer Electronics (components) or similar industry.
·         Require about 50% travel domestically and internationally
