About the opportunity:

We are working as the internal recruitment partner for our client, a successful organisation specialising in the research and manufacturing of diagnostic solutions.

We are presenting an exciting opportunity for a Technology Transfer & Product Support Scientist to join the team, based in Bedford.

As a Technology Transfer & Product Support Scientist, you will work closely with the scientific and technical development team on the design, development and scale up of the manufacturing process, analytical performance evaluations and post market support.

You will be responsible for working with the projects team to facilitate the smooth technical transfer of projects from research and development to manufacturing within agreed timelines.

With 40% of your time being spent in the laboratory, you will be required to follow standard operating procedures and design protocols according to the technology transfer plan. You will be proficient with hands on lab/technical skills, including experimental design, implementation, recording and reporting.

Requirements

Who we are looking for:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A degree or relevant experience within Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Immunology (or allied/specialist scientific field).
  • Proven experience within a technology transfer or medical device validation environment.
  • Proficient in hands-on laboratory / technical skills including experimental design, implementing, recording, and reporting.
  • Experience of working in an ISO13485 or GMP-regulated environment would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work across multiple, ongoing projects at once and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment and identify risks.
  • Highly accurate with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient with MS Office including MS Projects and Excel.
