call9 is hiring a

Telemedicine Resident

New York, United States

Who We Are
Call9 is a Silicon Valley based start-up relocating to NYC.  Call9 was created by a team of physicians and talented software engineers who have brought Emergency Medicine outside the walls of the ED through their proprietary telemedicine platform.  We saves lives and prevent hospitalizations by connecting Emergency Physicians with patients in skilled nursing facilities at the moment of their emergency. Our team is united in our mission to deliver the high quality healthcare experience that our patients deserve. We have been seeing patients since July 15th, 2015, and have already saved the healthcare system millions of dollars by avoiding costly emergency department visits.

Who You Are
You are an Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, Palliative Care, or Critical Care resident or fellow who thinks outside the box.  You are scrappy, tenacious, and see projects through to the end. You take responsibility for your patients.  You currently work in traditional medicine and say to yourself everyday, ‘how can this be different.’  You believe that doing right by the patient is paramount.  You believe in communication with families.  You may be frustrated by medicine, but you’ll be invigorated by working with Call9.

As a Resident you will interact with physicians who are leaders in their fields including Michelle Lin (ALiEM, UCSF), Kevin Biese (fmr. PD at UNC, present Vice Chair), Jonathan Fisher (fmr. Clerkship director at BIDMC/Harvard, present Clerkship Director at Maricopa), Rob Rogers (Professor U Kentucky, iTeachEM), Dara Kass (Clerkship Director at NYU, FeminEM), Claritza Rios ( former PD of the EM/IM program at SUNY Downstate, Associate Professor at UCSF Palliative Care Program, and EM attending at Highland), Uche Blackstock (NYU Ultrasound Director), Teresa Smith (PD at SUNY Downstate) and more.
