As an Intern at New Relic’s Portland, you will join our UX Design team as a Researcher for a full-time, paid internship opportunity beginning approximately May/June 2021!

What You’ll Do

  • Scope research projects and develop clear/detailed research plans/proposals that outline the research goals, hypotheses, participant characteristics and methods
  • Conduct research with our users and customers, and maybe also non-users and potential users, to help us better understand who they are and what they need
  • Execute on qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Communicate research insights, to cross-functional teams and executives, in creative ways to increase customer-centricity

Your Qualifications


  • Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program from an accredited university
  • Completed at least two years of an undergraduate program
  • Returning to your program after the internship
  • Experience working as a researcher on collaborative projects (research for class projects is acceptable)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Pursuing a degree in user experience design, human-computer interaction, information science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of UX research methods and tools, curious about the complexity
  • Experience with research tools such as Qualtrics, UserTesting
