User Journey Copy Writer [REMOTE]

  • CONTRACT TYPE: Freelancers, contractor | No C2C
  • LOCATION: Work from anywhere - EST | Partial overlap
  • Rate: $50-$80/hr
  • ESTIMATIED DURATION: Part time | 20 hrs/wk - Short-time

THE OPPORTUNITY

Working knowledge of how to design a customer journey flow with 2-5 years of prior experience as a copywriter, UI/UX designer, or product manager while working closely with end customers.

  • Understand how to balance product velocity and perfect copywriting.
  • Understand how to lead multiple products/projects at different stages while staying. organized.
  • Are comfortable addressing and resolving ambiguity.
  • Recognize and appreciate the diversity of thought and perspectives and use them as a stepping stone to help you open the door to ideas that work.
 

 

We are looking for a User Journey Copywriter who can:

  • Craft copy and content for kick-ass user experiences.
  • Leave an impression that's as memorable as it is fun.
  • Create an amazing Call-to-Action.
  • Craft easy-to-read content that informs and inspires using only a few words.
  • Take readers on a journey that educates them while also persuading them.
  • Help users move forward in their use of our product.
  • Help a customer grok a complex process yet feel that it’s simple.
  • Understand a customer’s psychology in order to write engaging content for web application pages and wizards.
  • Understand a prospect’s psychology in order to write marketing content that converts at multiple touch-points such as the website, landing pages, emails, and printed media.
  • Discover the best voice for varying contexts - different types of customers at different stages in their journey will require different voices to educate and encourage them to keep moving forward to the next stages.
  • Proofread text for accuracy and quality to launch error-free content.
  • Meet with internal domain experts to understand the right message, brand voice, and user intentions.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to interpret creative direction and technical information and turn them into persuasive copy concepts.
  • Collaborate with PR and marketing teams to brainstorm and develop a variety of marketing materials.
  • Write engaging transactional emails and text messages that users will open and click through to visit the application for further steps or to get valuable information.
    A/B Test: Iterate, refactor, stabilize and launch your copy - learn what worked and what didn't, then do it again to incorporate your learnings.
