Job Overview:

Design is core to eero’s identity. Every detail – the product’s physical form, our packaging, our simple and intuitive app, even the company’s name – reflects this. We’re looking for a self-motivated designer who wants to help us take this design culture to the next level – someone who can contribute to a user-centered design process and will work hard to deliver the best possible experiences for our users.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn by doing – they want to evolve their design skills and design process in the fast-paced start-up environment. They will be challenged to understand what makes our users tick (by colleagues in user research and marketing), and motivated to translate these insights into tangible value for our users. They understand the importance of exploring multiple concepts before recommending a solution. They can write scenarios and develop detailed task flows. They are eager to communicate their ideas and receptive to feedback from others. They have a positive attitude, open mind and a desire to collaborate, learn and share.

eero is the gold standard for consumer WiFi, and will continue to build experiences that leverage connectivity to elevate life at home. As a UX Designer at eero, you’ll develop a deep understanding of our strategy and play a vital role in delivering that strategy across a compelling range of products and services.

What you'll do:

  • Develop, prototype and evaluate design solutions
  • Support feature teams, and takedirection from design leads
  • Task-switch as necessary to accommodate fast-paced start-up work culture
  • Pay keen attention to detail and quality of the shipped product
  • Make our products intuitive to use and delightful to experience

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has formal training in design (related HCI background also considered)
  • Is motivated to learn from, collaborate with and support other disciplines and designers
  • Has Rapid-prototyping skills (e.g. HTML/CSS, Processing, etc.)
  • Has an excellent portfolio of work

Bonus Points:

  • Visual design chops
  • Experience working at a startup / small company
  • Bring a working knowledge of mobile/responsive design
