UX Visual Designer - Intern

We are currently seeking a passionate UX Designer in Digital Workspace Engineer to create a world-class employee experience for everyone at Tencent Overseas. Reporting to the Director of Employee Experience, you’ll be helping with designing a portal that is driven by user needs instead of supporting departments.

This role will be based in our Palo Alto office. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders & engineers to realize design concepts into mockups, wireframes and design specs
• Produce visual artifacts to realize lo-fi and hi-fi design to be used for implementation
• Provide input and tailor design based on user needs, brand guide, and technical feasibility
• Challenge status quo and have active discussion with engineers & stakeholders to ground design
• Validate design through usability testing and other relevant methodologies

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Digital Art, UX and related fields with at least one semester/quarter remaining after internship.
• Familiar with Design Thinking
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, with little supervision
• Ability to understand business metrics, customer, and market trends.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills
• Bilingual in Mandarin and English preferred
