Racked is Vox Media’s shopping expert, exploring why and how we shop. From investigative features on your favorite brands to maps of the best shopping in the cities you’ll visit this summer, we want Racked to be the ultimate shopping authority for real people with real budgets and real questions about how and why we decide to buy the things we do.

We're seeking an experienced producer to help take our newly-formed video team to the next level with their organization and creativity. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on both field productions and studio shoots to create original video content for Racked's multiple platforms, and especially with producing compelling content for Facebook. 


  • Participate in all aspects of video production for both in studio and in the field productions.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to develop, produce, and edit original video content.
  • Shoot, produce, and edit single- or multi-camera footage.
  • Research and write scripts for multiple series.
  • Manage budgeting, scheduling, invoicing, and all related deliverables.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to craft video format, graphic look, and style.
  • 3-5 years of experience producing video content for a digital media company.
  • Intermediate to proficient editing skills; beginner to intermediate shooting skills. 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills. 
  • A diplomatic, can-do attitude working across Racked's multiple teams.
