Virtual Assembly Simulation Manufacturing Engineer – Gardena, CA
Develop manufacturing and vehicle assembly models for electric drives including: Mechanical systems such as HV Battery, Interior Seating, 12 Wire Harnesses, Body Structure, etc.; Manufacturability standards such as process sequence, tool access, design clearance load paths, etc. Use simulation tools (e.g. DELMIA) to develop and simulate vehicle systems for: Evaluating and optimizing manufacturability, efficiency, design, and equipment performance in vehicle manufacturing design applications; Assessing technology benefits and draw backs including system costs, manufacturing impacts, and performance; Maximizing vehicle design for manufacturing through virtual analysis and parameter optimizations; and Analyzing robustness and reliability under vehicle process sequence.
Education and experience requirements:        
Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related field and Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a closely related occupation

Required expertise/knowledge includes: Experience with CATIA/DELMIA v6; Experience with automotive modeling/simulation; Experience in applying process theory in manufacturing and vehicle modeling; Experience with model-based development tools; Experience in programming using C/C++/VB
