Visual UX Designer

Design is core to eero’s identity. Every detail – the product’s physical form, our packaging, our simple and intuitive app, even the company’s name – reflects this. We’re looking for a motivated visual designer who can help us take eero’s design culture to the next level – who can both help direct the development of mobile design process and be a strong individual contributor to it.

Candidates must have experience in developing consumer applications and products and a strong portfolio that includes consumer-facing mobile experiences. You would work collaboratively with a team of interaction designers, product managers and developers. You would be a key contributor to development of the product’s visual language, and help in maintaining a cohesive look and feel across our web and mobile products. You should be familiar with user-centered design methodologies, and be interesting in incorporating insights from design research into your design work. You have a positive attitude, open mind and a desire to collaborate, learn and mentor.

eero is the gold standard for consumer WiFi, and will continue to build experiences that leverage connectivity to elevate life at home. As a Visual UX Designer at eero, you’ll develop a deep understanding of our strategy and play a vital role in delivering that strategy across a compelling range of products and services.

What you'll do:

  • Support other designers in the development of eero’s visual language for interactive products
  • Effectively present, explain and sell your ideas
  • Task-switch as necessary to support multiple work streams
  • Pace work according to deadlines
  • Be obsessive about attention to detail, and maintaining high bar for quality
  • Collaborate with other teams and support fellow designers

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has at least 2 years of working experience in a visual UX role (preferably focused on products)
  • Formal visual design training
  • Deep understanding of brand, typography, color, and motion
    • Experience designing visual systems for mobile software products mobile interfaces is a must
  • An engaging portfolio of work that demonstrates previous requirements

Bonus points:

  • Motion design chops
  • Basic HTML/CSS skills for use in prototyping only
  • Proficiency in Sketch
