ABOUT THE ROLE:

Vimeo’s mission is to empower creators to make, share and sell amazing videos directly to viewers worldwide, in the highest quality possible and with no interruptive advertising. As Vimeo’s Vice President, Brand Partnerships you will oversee Vimeo’s Brand Studio team, which pairs Vimeo’s deep community of high quality video creators and award winning filmmakers with leading brands to create high touch, original and cinematic quality content solutions. We then develop full content strategies to host, distribute and promote that content into Vimeo’s clean, ad-free environment. 

You will be tasked with developing our go-to-market strategy, empowering our sales team, building relationships in the brand and agency community and establishing Vimeo as the go-to destination for brand collaboration and content creation. The ideal candidate will lead our team of experienced sellers and work closely with marketing, operations, business intelligence, content curation, and product to develop our ad offerings and fulfill the quality promise we make to our brand partners. 

You should have a strong sales management and business acumen, deep network of contacts and knowledge on both the client and agency side and strong knowledge of digital content production.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop and refine go-to-market strategy and sales pitch for Vimeo Brand Studio
  • Manage and build team of experienced sellers, account managers and creative producers
  • Source and close branded entertainment packages with Ad Age top 100 advertisers
  • Help create and produce high quality original branded content
  • Drive market awareness of Vimeo Brand Studio
  • Partner and work across appropriate functional areas (creative, sales, product, project management, engineering, design) on development and execution of ad products and programs
  • Provide strategic feedback to internal stakeholders that will help inform product updates, creation and potentially new revenue opportunities
  • Establish, execute and exceed revenue and margin targets

 SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

  • At least 10+ years experience working within digital media sales or branded content
  • Experience selling and closing scalable, innovative branded content products and programs
  • Expert knowledge of sales cycle, from initial prospecting through closing
  • Establish sales objectives by developing annual sales plans by territory and category
  • Solid financial knowledge and ability to price and package to maximize both revenue and margins
  • Passion for Vimeo and our creative community (understanding and general excitement for Vimeo)
  • Strong client management skills, experience working with top brands and agencies
  • Awesome communication, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience building, managing and inspiring a team
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
