VP, Finance

Grayscale Investments is seeking a VP, Finance to provide support to the Chief Financial Officer to scale the existing business initiatives, assist in project management for new business initiatives, further automate critical processes and help manage key vendor relationships. This role will also be involved with the onboarding/hiring of new employees) and work across all verticals within Grayscale (Legal, Ops, Marketing, Tax), our parent company (DCG) and affiliate entities.  This role is linked to Grayscale’s growth path with requires continued build-out of the Grayscale’s business model and the finance infrastructure to support it while also starting the foundation of future growth. 

Responsibilities:

•    Work directly with CFO to support all aspects of the management of the Finance department
•    Help to further implement finance infrastructure related to the strategic priorities for existing Grayscale Products
•    Work with project managers and key vendors related to growth initiatives and new product offerings in various jurisdictions
•    Support Fund Accounting operations via oversight and collaboration with fund administrators and key vendors
•    Partner with Technology team to setup scalable infrastructure to all for new Products/digital assets
•    Set up legal entities, bank accounts, treasury and tax related operations for the Products and Sponsor
•    Assist Compliance with the maintenance of WSP’s, adherence/implementation of new processes to satisfy the regulatory requirements for legal entities
•    Help implement software solutions to track cost-basis, monitor trades (sales of assets and/or futures/call options/put options) and the settlement of such trades
•    Work as part of team to inform a robust risk monitoring / mitigation framework
•    Formalize, automate and further develop FP&A process

Prior Experience/Requirements:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; MBA or Masters in Finance preferred
•    10-15 years of strategic finance experience
•    5+ years in a senior financial leadership role
•    Broker/Dealer and or Asset Management experience preferred
•    Strong understanding of financial and operational controls
