VP of Business Development

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious business development VP who will spearhead and implement strategies for user growth and monetization plans. You will be the first business development hire and we are looking for someone to come in with a well thought-out business strategy who will be able to hit the ground running.

  • Develop and refine business development strategy, including identifying new revenue streams, user acquisition models, and strategic partnerships
  • Initiate and manage relationships with mobile carriers and mobile handset OEMs
  • Negotiate business and technical contracts with strategic partners
  • Grow and retain existing business relationships


  • Minimum 5 years experience in business development
  • Experience working in high-growth or start-up technology company preferred, experience working at a carrier company strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of the messaging space - ability to explain how we should position ourselves in the industry and how to sell our product to OEMs/carrier companies
  • Knowledge of online and mobile business models, social networking, and internet/consumer technology
  • Strong quantitative background
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking and communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • BA/BS from top tier university; MBA from a top program a plus
  • Willingness and ability to travel
