Job Overview


PES is seeking a Head of Procurement to establish a strategic, firm-wide approach for the identification and implementation of cost/service optimization across all non-strategic vendors, with a focus on consolidation of MSAs and the use of intermediaries for better pricing terms across similar contracts. Underpin with appropriate technology to increase effectiveness and data-based decision making.  You will continuously analyze and research the industry to ensure we are leaders in the market for our supply chain management processes. You will provide regular, quality reporting, and communication with leaders to ensure we remain fiscally responsible, competitive, and have the appropriate vendor partnerships. The ideal candidate will utilize appropriate technology to increase efficiency and will drive effectiveness.  This candidate must live in the Charlotte, Atlanta or Miami markets already with the ability to work a hybrid schedule in office.  


What You’ll Do

  • Document and map current processes, policies, systems, contract storage, and approval matrix across the Firm
  • Identify information being collated and stored with respect to vendors, contracts, and services
  • Optimize processes and approval matrices, and develop a roadmap for Vendor Management systems, information, and contract storage rationalization
  • Finalize and validate current population of vendors and contracts including associated terms
  • Identify all functional leaders for assessment and approval requirements
  • Inventory any / all existing metrics and measures and build transparent dashboard for measuring what matters in the Procurement space, including the quantification of value and benefits being delivered
  • Drive productivity through end-to-end process analysis
  • Evaluate environment at parent and operating company levels for technology being utilized, as well as new use cases and form plant to drive harmonization
  • Measure supplier diversity; partner with Opcos on brand recognition opportunities
  • Identify and execute on ESG opportunities where appropriate
  • Build vendor management framework for ongoing performance & relationship
  • Ensure all vendors are documented, and data analytics are conducted and reported
  • Ensure process covers compliance of documented policy

Requirements

A successful candidate should possess extensive experience in corporate procurement. This individual will be someone with sound financial knowledge who can successfully manage an enterprise-wide commodity procurement program that’s being consolidated across entities with varying business models

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Business Administration, or other relevant field required.  MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Operations, or related field
  • Procurement experience in Investment Management, Real Estate, Finance or Private Equity preferred
  • Technology contracting and negotiations
  • Expertise in negotiation and change management
  • Demonstrated experience building procurement best practices
  • Data driven, familiar with benchmarking and appropriate metrics and measures
  • Knowledge and practice of accounting and finance principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience leading successful teams across geographies
  • Proficiency in Procurement software/technology
  • Live in Charlotte, Miami or Atlanta 
  • Vaccination against Covid-19 is required, except where prohibited pursuant to state or local law.
