VP, Programmatic Sales

As VP, Programmatic Sales, you will be responsible for managing, designing and executing the programmatic sales strategy for Vox Media. This new role in a high growth area for the company will work with the Sales and Revenue Operations groups to grow existing business and establish new business with our partners. This role will manage a team of programmatic sellers & account managers and would report directly to the Global VP, Revenue & Partnerships.

This is a high-energy job requiring persistent and persuasive interactions with clients, deep digital, social and mobile expertise, proven sales skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to close deals. You will need to think strategically, about your clients business and will take a consultative approach, uncovering your client’s needs, and bringing them appropriate opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage trusted senior relationships with key partners & agencies
  • Develop new relationships at senior levels with agency and client partners
  • Manage a team of programmatic sellers to help grow & foster programmatic revenue. Be a leader that supports and motivates their team to strive for their best.
  • Serve as a trusted consultant with partners consistently bringing them solution oriented ideas and products to meet their business challenges
  • Continuously educate our direct sales team on programmatic sector
  • Work with direct sales team leadership to identify key clients and design solutions to achieve their objectives
  • Willing to travel

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Advertising, Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 5-8 years experience in digital advertising sales with a proven record of exceeding revenue goals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in programmatic advertising sales, marketing, consulting, or media
  • In-depth knowledge of programmatic advertising industry and landscape
  • Well established relationships in the industry
