Warehouse Manager, North America (Tacoma, WA)

About the vacancy

NewCold is seeking a Warehouse Manager for our Tacoma Washington facility! The Warehouse Manager will oversee all operations within our automated cold storage warehouse. The Tacoma facility is co-lead by the warehouse manager and business manager. While the Business Manager’s focus will be customer management and developing new business channels, you will be responsible to ensure the operations are running smoothly and effectively.

What will you be doing?

• Be the primary leader and accountable for all phases of warehouse operations.
• Meet warehouse operations financial objectives by: preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions for performance and safety issues.
• Closely monitor and control all expenditures, with a real focus on payroll costs, energy costs and maintenance costs.
• Follow and enforce safety policies according to OSHA standards.
• Maintain Food Safety in accordance with BRC standards. Responsible for yearly inspections & BRC assessment.
• Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning, inspecting and issuing work order requests for repair or replacements
• Conduct mandatory weekly and monthly meetings with managers and employees.
• Make recommendations regarding the development of warehouse operations systems.
• Support, coach and mentor site management to ensure that employees are receiving the necessary support to be successful.
