Summit Bodyworks is a premier builder of mobile display vehicles, mobile medical, law enforcement and other specialty vehicles. We are growing and looking for someone to join our team to perform metal fabrication and welding functions. As part of our team this individual will construct and manufacture metal parts and products, taking particular care to produce clean, polished welds. The ideal candidate will successfully follow blueprints, determine material measurements, and take responsibility for fabricating parts used in later assembly processes. This individual will be responsible for the quality of their output and must be able to perform simple tests to ensure weld quality and tolerance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welding
- Prefer the ability to read blueprints but not required.
- Work with fabrication and welding team to support custom truck manufacturing.
- Welding sub-assembly components
- Operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
- Frequent mobility and/or sitting, standing, bending or stooping for prolonged/extended periods.
- Requires lifting up to 75 pounds frequently.
- Requires stretching to reach items up to 75 pounds.
- Requires working in areas which are not ventilated or air-conditioned.
- Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery.
- Occasionally works at heights using ladder or mechanical lift.
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity.
- Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
- Requires working in a fast paced environment.
- Requires a normal range of hearing and vision.
- Must understand vague and implicit instructions, and react favorably in all work situations.
- Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- MIG welding is required
- TIG welding is preferred but not required.
- Experience with various forms of welding.
- Knowledge of steel and aluminum fabrication techniques.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail and a focus on exceptional customer service.
- Candidates must be a motivated individual who can work independently.
- Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.

- Compensation Range:$24.00-$27.00

- Shift: 4 days a week with 10 hour days
