The Role

We are seeking an Events Account Executive to join our growing team who is passionate about events and creating unforgettable brand experiences for our clients. The Account Executive will be part of our Experience division supporting some of our busiest client accounts and will be primarily responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support to an Account Manager and the wider team.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and set up processes for event activation and campaigns
  • Assist the team with onsite activation delivery and event campaign deployment
  • Prepare materials for client meetings and new business pitches including PowerPoint presentations, Word documents and Excel spreadsheets
  • Conduct project research for client presentations
  • Arranging and completing site visits, as requested
  • Online Guest Registration Management
  • Management of 3rd party suppliers
  • Prepare project briefing documents for event execution for agency partners and 3rd party suppliers
  • On-site event management, coordination of all on the ground services for the wider Account Team and client
  • Gain a broader understanding of the real world of marketing and apply key learnings
  • Learn practical skills in event delivery, client servicing and creativity
  • Update senior team regularly on project status, highlighting key points
  • Conduct research on potential clients to help support new business growth
  • Undertake insight and strategy focused projects
  • Research and update the venue data base, developing presentations for potential event spaces for clients
  • Provide day-to-day general administrative duties to support the Account Team as required including, supporting the account lead with all necessary preparation for client status meetings, budget tracking in collaboration with the Account Lead/Producer, PO raising & invoice processing, and scheduling meetings with the internal team and agency partners
  • Perform other duties as required in keeping with the purpose and accountability of the job

  • The above forms the main areas of responsibility for this role, but it is not exhaustive and it should be noted that duties may change over time, so the need for flexibility is key and the job-holder will be expected to co-operate with reasonable changes as required.

    Requirements

    Essential

    • Minimum 1 year of direct experience within the marketing and/or events industry.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint skills with the ability to develop client facing presentations / materials.
    • Well-developed organisational, time management, and administrative skills.
    • Proven ability to multitask, and see projects through from conception to execution.
    • Demonstrated ability to work within in a fast-paced environment and possess high levels of professionalism, particularly in stressful situations.
    • Self-motivated with a keen interest to learn from other members of the organization and clients.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, to engage with the immediate team, but establish a relationship with client team.
    • A team player who works best with a variety of personalities and enjoys helping other team members develop their ideas.
    • Comfortable with desk-based research, reading lots of articles and putting together client presentations or company reports.
    • Energetic, cooperative and pleasant personality. Quality-oriented and highly committed, and able to work effectively with a diverse group of team members.
    • Always up for a challenge. You jump into new projects headfirst with a positive attitude no matter how big or small the task in hand is.

    Desirable

    • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or events
    • Passion for sports and entertainment, and the business of those industries.
    • Some digital experience is preferred.
