Account Executive / Junior Consultant

Role summary:

Grayling is looking to hire a Account Executive / Junior Consultant in our Brussels office. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering excellent day-to-day client work, playing a key support role within the team. The role involves supporting client work, monitoring relevant EU policies and supporting public affairs and communications activities.

The day to day:

• Conduct daily monitoring, reporting and research for clients and internal purposes
• Deliver accurate written communications and can write a range of copy (internal/external) including: press releases, quotes, emails, status & contact reports, social media materials
• Support dedicated client teams and respond to client requests
• When appropriate, direct contact with clients, i.e. providing updates and responding to basic requests
• Attend and actively participate in client meetings where appropriate
• Participate in new business projects, including research, brainstorm, drafting of proposals and development of presentations
• Communicate accurately and keep the team and client informed on progress in accordance with agreed processes, ensuring expectations are managed and any issues are escalated in a timely fashion
• Build trusted relationships with journalists and media professionals
• Pro-actively keep up to date with client-specific media, industry and digital developments

About you:

• Previous traineeships or professional experience a plus.
• Native level English
• Good working knowledge of (social) media
• A basic understanding of communications and public affairs in EU-Brussels/Belgium
• Excellent communication writing, research and presentation skills
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to take initiative and be proactive
• Enthusiastic team player and quick learner
