Account Executive

Job title:  ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE       

Summary/Objective

The Account’s Executive role is responsible for full set company accounts and other administrative functions for any sites in Malaysia.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities
1. ACCOUNTS & GENERAL ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT

a) Maintain and upkeep accounts payable ledger
b) Maintain and upkeep accounts receivable ledger
c) Handle Samtec Plating (M) Sdn Bhd (also known as JB Plating Plant) full set of accounts, including and not limited to cash and bank, inventory and costing, and fixed assets
d) Prepare payments to suppliers each month on time.
e) Handle SST/Imported Service Tax, and other statutory requirements.
f) Prepare monthly payments cycle to suppliers on time
g) Prepare urgent payments on time
h) Reimburse Petty Cash fund
i) Handle Bank Guarantee and Repo placement
j) Liaise and handle company secretary job relevant
k) Handle company audit and tax agent company income tax matters
l) Maintain and upkeep of document filing
m) Handle payroll payout cycle and accounting entry.

2. ALL OTHER ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE RELATED MATTERS AND FACILITIE

a) To be appointed as Company / Branch registered person on government matters for JB Plating Plant upon requested by Management

b) Handle government department or agency monthly reporting, ad hoc audit & query, yearly renewal pertaining to accounting and finance matters.

3. Liaison with Government departments upon request

4. Special projects and ad hoc tasks as and when assigned by Asia Financial Controller / Management, , including and not limited to cash and bank, fixed assets, account payables, account receivables, inventory and costing, taxes

5. Adheres to all Samtec Quality Principles and actions

Required Experience

1. 3 years in related / similar position

Preferred Education:

1. Minimum LCCI Higher Diploma or Diploma in Accountancy or Bachelor Degree in Accounting / related technical or equivalent experience.
