Accounts Receivable Coordinator
ABOUT THE ROLE
Peloton’s Accounts Receivable Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Cash Applications process across geographic and business unit boundaries. This position will partner with key cross-functional team members across the organization to drive AR operational excellence. This position will also be involved with tracking, organizing, and disputing deductions taken on payments from our B2B partners.
This position will be involved in a variety of cross functional projects that have an impact to the Finance Operations organization and will require understanding of operational and financial systems and strong accounts receivable acumen. This includes an accounting background as it pertains to the order to cash process and the ability to solve complex problems accurately and efficiently. This position will be expected to identify process improvement opportunities and assist in driving positive change across the department.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Perform the end-to-end cash application process for commercial and wholesale business partners
- Enter payments and process journal entries to apply to customer invoices across multiple ERP systems
- Accurately process and account for deductions taken on customer payments to ensure AR aging balances are aligned with customer records
- Research chargeback claims and process dispute cases to improve the chances of recovering funds
- Support DSO and cash collection targets
- Daily/monthly reconciliations of our cash and AR accounts to confirm accurate GL balances
- Work with the collections and accounts receivable teams to research unapplied cash and keep this balance at a minimum
- Contact customers to inquire about incomplete information related to payments and past due balances
- Process refunds for our wholesale and commercial B2B departments when needed
- Collaborate across geographies and business divisions to harmonize and standardize process requirements with AR best practices in mind
- Measure and report on KPIs as they relate to the cash application and dispute process including routine vendor dashboard maintenance and presentations to management
- Build strong, collaborative working relationships with business partners focusing on driving efficiencies and improving levels of service
- Provide support and documentation as needed to assist SOX cash application controls and audit requests
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- 3+ years of work experience in a cash applications/AR role
- Knowledge of accounting principles with the ability to solve problems in a way that ensures accounting requirements are met
- Skilled in excel with the ability to produce reporting using large amounts of data
- Experience using NetSuite and in particular, its AR/cash applications module. SAP experience also a plus
- Operates independently with a bias to closure to solve problems quickly, effectively, and accurately with a sense of urgency
- Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Excellent data entry, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Hands-on, self-starting, focused, and meticulous individual with the ability to work independently in a high-volume environment that requires accurate and timely results
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external parties to improve performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results
Base Salary: $69,500.00 to $90,400.00
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
