Snapshot

As an AI Delivery Associate, you will be joining the Sales & Delivery team at Faculty. This team focuses on serving the needs of our customers to apply AI to real-world problems. As an AI Delivery Associate, you will help to identify use cases and opportunities, help clients to work out where data science can be applied, and then help manage projects to successful completion. You will get to work alongside our data scientists and engineers, working as part of a project team to help design and deploy practical solutions across a broad range of sectors.

Who we are

Faculty is an applied AI company that helps organisations who have the scale, data, and foresight to adopt AI into their business. We’re helping make AI real across society by providing a unique combination of strategy, software and skills to our customers: everything needed to successfully create value from AI. Founder-led and with over 80 PhDs, we’re a team of specialists with experience across healthcare, finance, government, retail, engineering, construction and a host of other sectors. We believe that AI should be trustworthy, impactful and beneficial across society. Those principles have shaped our work with more than 230 organisations across the public and private sectors as we help them use AI to act faster, make better decisions and understand more deeply. Thanks to our dedicated AI safety research programme, we’re constantly refining our systems to make AI safer, more secure and more reliable.

The role

As a rapidly growing organisation your role will evolve alongside business and customer needs, but you can expect your key day-to-day responsibilities to include:
  • Working directly with clients/customers across a wide range of industries to deliver business value through data science and artificial intelligence
  • Managing individual workstreams to support the successful delivery of customer projects
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Working closely with technical teams to ensure that projects run smoothly on a day-to-day basis
  • Owning standalone internal Faculty projects
  • Supporting business development through undertaking research and creating compelling proposals
  • Adapting to an environment where no two days are the same, and taking the initiative to make sure each day is better than the one before

We are growing quickly, and you will be encouraged to grow the scope of your role as you wish.

This role does not require deep technical knowledge, but does require building enough understanding of data science techniques and their application in order to credibly communicate their value to the client, and be an effective member of project teams. You will have the opportunity to build up this more detailed understanding of data science first-hand, and get involved in optional internal training sessions to further your technical skills.

Who you are

At Faculty, your attitude and behaviour are just as important as your skill set. We look for individuals who can support our values, foster our culture and deliver for our organisation. We are a small business, and we need people who take the initiative. You will be given a high degree of autonomy, while still being given support as part of project teams, and formal opportunities to learn and develop.

We are looking for people that have:

  • A clear interest in and aptitude for applying data science and AI to real-world problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A desire to continuously learn from those around you and improve
  • The ability to challenge your team members and test assumptions to reach the best possible outcome
  • A proactive desire to take initiative and own the solution to a problem
  • Awareness that mistakes made contribute to a positive learning experience and should always be honestly acknowledged

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience working in a consulting or business role
  • Experience in a client or customer facing role
  • Experience working as part of a team to problem-solve and analyse

Benefits

  • Unlimited holidays: We encourage each other to use this time to take a break, work on personal projects, or to spend time with their friends and family.
  • Genuinely flexible working: We believe people have needs, responsibilities and interests that require something different to a strict 9-6 working day. We trust people to organise and take accountability for their own work and do our best to support their lives outside Faculty.
  • Sanctus mental health coaching: We offer access to confidential coaching sessions with mental healthcare professionals from Sanctus to ensure we offer the opportunity for our employees the chance to discuss and maintain their mental health
