About the Role

Millions of people trust Nu with their financial lives — and keeping that trust means making sure every customer interaction meets the highest standards of integrity and compliance. As an AML QA Analyst on our Regulatory Solutions team in Mexico, you'll be a critical line of defense in protecting Nu and its customers against financial crime.

You'll execute independent quality assurance reviews across our AML, KYC, Judicial Orders, and Ombudsman operations — identifying control gaps, evaluating process effectiveness, and helping us continuously raise the bar. Your work directly strengthens Nu's First Line of Defense Program and contributes to a fairer, more ethical financial system in Mexico.

This is a role for someone who is detail-oriented and principled, who understands that regulatory compliance isn't just a box to check — it's foundational to everything we build. You'll work alongside engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to turn QA findings into real improvements.

You'll be responsible for

  • Execute quality assurance reviews of AML, KYC, Judicial Orders, and Ombudsman cases in accordance with internal policies, departmental procedures, and CNBV regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate process deficiencies across operational routines, recommend corrective actions, and support SAR narrative reviews including supporting documentation and SAR Committee minutes.
  • Identify and communicate control weaknesses to management and business owners, following issue escalation procedures to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Monitor management queues and dashboards to ensure operational regulatory routines are addressed promptly and no regulatory gaps remain open.
  • Partner with engineers, data scientists, and designers to prioritize and coordinate improvements to AML/KYC operational routines and analysis tools.
  • Support the strategic cross-squad team in deploying projects that comply with key AML/KYC/Judicial Orders/Ombudsman policies.
  • Track metrics and KPIs, facilitating clear communication across Nubank teams on quality performance and trends.
  • Spot opportunities to improve results and customer experience within the QA process, and take initiative to implement them.

  • Clear, succinct written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and/or English.
