Analyst or Associate (DOE), Investor Partnerships

Galvanize Climate Solutions (“Galvanize”) is a climate-focused global investment firm with the objective of delivering capital and expertise to accelerate climate solutions. Founded by Katie Hall and Tom Steyer, Galvanize invests across asset classes including venture capital and growth equity, and public equities, and is in the process of building a real estate team. We integrate expertise across investment, climate impact, market development, talent, technology, and policy with the aim of driving material climate impact and creating long-term value for our investors.

Galvanize’s Investor Partnerships team leads fundraising and investor relations across asset classes. Investor Partnerships maintains relationships with prospective and current Limited Partners (“LP’s”’, investors, or allocators) globally on behalf of the firm. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

This opportunity will be of particular interest to an individual wanting to expand their knowledge of climate-focused investments and the fundraising operations of a growing and new investment platform. Responsibilities of the Analyst or Associate will revolve around two primary types of work:

1. Project Management

  • Facilitate information requests from prospective and current Limited Partners and identify potential critical issues
  • Enter and update data into Salesforce
  • In coordination with the Investor Partnerships team, manage Capital Raise tracker
  • Track investor progress
  • Work with investment teams to create and improve investment materials and diligence requests
  • Create meeting preparation materials
  • Draft Galvanize’s response to Due Diligence Questionnaires from LP’s, collaborate across platform operations and investment teams to accurately respond

2. LP Dialogue and Communications

  • Manage follow up for respective team members
  • Join 1-on-1 LP calls with senior members of the Investor Partnerships team 
  • [Grow to] covering strategy and LP meetings on behalf of Investor Partnerships team
  • Draft outreach notes to LP’s
  • Support senior members of Investor Partnerships team in outreach
  • Fine-tune approach to technology, to improve processes and data analysis 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of full time work experience. 
  • Proven experience in investor relations, investing, clean energy, climate advocacy, strategy consulting, investment banking, or real estate private equity (preferred).

  • Authorization to work in the US.

The Analyst or Associate will report to the Eastern North American Partnerships Lead and collaborate with numerous teams across the organization including the investment teams, Finance, and Legal. 

Compensation:

  • Base salary range is $80,000 to $100,000 (Analyst) or $110,000 - $140,000 (Associate) depending on experience
  • Total cash compensation will also include a significant discretionary bonus
