Analyst SQA Engineer (Contractual)
TLDR
Entry-level testing role focusing on manual and API testing, defect tracking, and test case development within a collaborative product team.
- Execute test cases to evaluate software functionality, usability, and performance.
- Identify, document, and report defects using appropriate tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain test cases.
- Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes and testing standards.
- Perform basic database testing and validate data integrity.
- Assist in automating test scripts (if applicable) under supervision.
- Continuously learn and improve testing methodologies.
- Perform API testing.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager/HOD.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-1 year of experience in software quality assurance or a related field is required.
- Knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and lifecycle.
- Basic understanding of manual and automated testing approaches.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the QA domain.
