BIG PICTURE:

We are searching for an Assistant Editor to help us create short cinematic viral videos!  We have an awesome team of screenwriters, casting associates, directors and shooters so this role would require performing all the technical aspects of editing a film. The ideal candidate has strong experience with editing narrative films and knows how to build emotion, create tension and increase the overall entertainment value of each film with little or no direction. Since we are a mission-led company and all of the content we create inspires people, the right candidate will find the long hours to be exciting and highly satisfying! 

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME:

• Ingest, organize, and back up footage and project files
• Create and maintain a well-organized media library
• Transcode and prepare footage for editing
• Sync audio and video
• Editing and updating repurposedold videos with new subtitle and dubbing files for different languages
• Creating compilation videos
• Adjusting audio to provide the best quality possible 
• Adding subtitles and branding to all videos and ensuring all final files are complete and organized

WHAT YOU HAVE:

• 2 Years experience editing 
• Experience in the Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.
• Demonstrated video editing ability with a strong portfolio
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment on a wide variety of projects
• Ability to learn quickly and is a team player
• Skilled in handling quick output without losing quality
• Experience working with audio files to get acceptable audio

The Assistant Editor reports directly to

Currently, the Assistant Editor has no personnel reporting directly to him or her

WHERE IT ALL GOES DOWN:

Our Assistant Editor will work remotely from home or personal office and will be required to utilize Dhar Mann Studios time tracking software to log and submit work hours

WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:

The typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, with schedule flexibility. Will be discussed in depth during the interview
