Associate Application Engineer – AI & Data
TLDR
Builds internal apps, automation, and data-driven AI workflows to improve efficiency and patient outcomes in a healthcare technology environment.
In this role, you will contribute to the development, support, and continuous improvement of internal applications, automation systems, and data-driven platforms that enable core business operations. You will work across engineering, data, and innovation teams to build scalable solutions and improve system reliability and performance.
- Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of internal applications, APIs, and automation workflows
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks across applications and integrations
- Develop and optimize data models, queries, and integrations across MySQL, PostgreSQL, Salesforce, and related systems
- Contribute to AI-enabled workflows and automation pipelines using modern development and AI-assisted tools
- Participate in feature development, testing, debugging, and system modernization initiatives
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, system reliability, and scalable architecture
- 1–3 years of experience in software development, automation, data, IT, or related technical roles (or equivalent hands-on experience such as bootcamps, internships, or personal projects)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, PHP, or JavaScript
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL preferred)
- Experience debugging, troubleshooting, and working across APIs, systems, or integrations
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude)
- Understanding of basic system architecture, data structures, and operational workflows
- Strong curiosity and builder mindset with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving
- Exposure to automation, scripting, or application development projects (professional or personal)
- Bonus: experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD, Docker, or healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR)
