We are an award-winning, passionate, and mission-driven team with the support of leaders in psychiatry. We have raised over $100M to date from prominent VCs including Tiger Global, Northzone, Rethink, Work-Bench, RRE, and General Catalyst.

We are looking for an Associate General Counsel to help build and lead a world-class Legal team.

You will be comfortable across a variety of areas and applications of law, including regulatory, privacy, and product, but will enjoy spending most of your time doing complex commercial deals. You love driving things from a legal perspective, but have a business-oriented, practical, approach that recognizes that your ultimate goal is to enable the company to succeed.

What you'll be doing

  • Working with and advising groups from across the company, including Sales, Business Development, Product, Technology, Finance, and Operations
  • Partnering with the Sales team to draft, negotiate and close enterprise agreements
  • Advising on, drafting, and negotiating vendor agreements
  • Providing guidance and partnering with the InfoSec team on privacy regulations and data security issues
  • Analyzing and advising on state and federal regulations applicable to the provision of health care services, particularly mental health and telehealth
  • Advising the Product and Technology teams as they further develop our platform
  • Preparing and updating standard agreements, including NDAs and commercial terms
  • Developing policies and procedures to enable the Legal team and Spring Health to run more efficiently and effectively

Your experience, abilities, and other qualities

  • 6+ years of experience at a combination of a top-tier law firm and emerging growth companies
  • You are a creative problem-solver, comfortable with ambiguity, complexity, and nuance
  • You have excellent legal and business judgment and the ability to translate complex legal issues and risks into concepts your team can understand and execute on
  • You take your work, but not yourself, seriously
  • You are eager to keep growing and learning
  • You like being challenged and pushed out of your comfort zone
  • You love working as part of a team
  • Your colleagues and reports describe you as someone who truly cares about their wellbeing and success
  • You have a JD from a top-tier law school

Some reasons you will like working at Spring Health

  • Competitive compensation plan, including equity in the company: we want you to own a piece of what you’re building.
  • Comprehensive benefits: we offer health, dental and vision benefits as well as access to Spring Health!
  • Flexible vacation plan: our open vacation-policy allows you to take the time off you need when you need it.
  • Great people: make an impact on something that truly helps people alongside an incredible team.
  • We care about diversity: diversity allows us to build an excellent patient experience. We are an equal opportunity employer and we do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
