About the Role
HelloFresh Canada is looking for a hands-on problem solver and leader to help manage and continuously improve our inbound supply chain. Reporting to the Manager - Procurement Operations, the incumbent will lead a team of buyers to ensure seamless week-to-week operations for their region. What you will be doing:
- Be based at our Distribution Center (DC) in Abbotsford, BC and work closely with our Production team to ensure they are set up for success in fulfilling customer orders efficiently everyday
- Develop and maintain a strong line of communication with the DC, working alongside Production, Warehousing and Quality Teams to ensure production goes on uninterrupted
- Lead a team of buyers to issue daily/weekly POs and ensure all of our ingredients and packaging arrive on time, in full, in quality at our distribution centres
- Anticipate issues through daily review of demand and supply checks; investigate and resolve inventory challenges proactively before they impact production
- Actively prioritize and problem-solve time-sensitive issues in our supply chain, and work cross-functionally to come up with a solution
- Run weekly post-production reviews, supporting the relationship between Procurement and Warehouse teams, and using data to measure weekly performance
- Support, coach and develop your team to continuously meet the challenges of a fast growing and evolving business
At a minimum, you have:
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, or startup operations with experience leading a team
- Bachelors’ degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related discipline
- Quantitative and analytical experience (either through education or professional experience), including expertise with G-Suite, Excel, Tableau, and procurement systems
- A love for solving ambiguous problems under tight deadlines, and using data to drive continuous improvement efforts
- An ownership mindset; you love to think beyond the scope of a given assignment
- A positive attitude and genuine excitement for working in a fast-paced environment
