The Ringer Podcast Network includes over 30 popular podcasts, featuring chart-topping shows such as “The Bill Simmons Podcast,” “The Rewatchables” and “The Ryen Russilio Podcast,” among many others. The Ringer was acquired by Spotify in 2020.
The Job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and nimble colleague to join The Ringer’s business operations team. This individual will be accountable for the successful day-to-day operation of the Ringer podcast network, working closely with Ringer show hosts, producers, external clients, and Spotify’s Ad Production. Spotify is a fast-paced, high-growth environment where collaboration is key. You’ll oversee all ad campaigns sold on The Ringer’s vast and evolving catalogue of podcasts as well as working cross-functionally across Spotify’s Advertising and Studios organizations.
What You'll Do
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the podcast network, including our content development slate & the delivery of Ringer podcast ads voiced by Ringer show hosts
- Serve as key liaison between the Ringer show teams and the Spotify Advertising Sales organization
- Build ongoing relationships with content and ad sales teams
- Onboard new hosts and producers to Ringer ad processes
- Supervise custom sales products and approvals for entire network
- Track sold sales products across Ringer audio, video and social
- Identify holes and trends in the production process and work proactively to optimize workflows across teams
- Work independently to maintain and complete project plans, keeping production on time
- Oversee technical updates and new feed launches
- Work with external clients for other projects to build meaningful and ongoing relationships
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of agency, project management, or production experience, or relevant experience in a related field
- Experience in podcasting or radio strongly preferred
- Ability to efficiently multitask under pressure, while taking the unexpected in stride
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and across multiple teams and workstreams
- Demonstrated ability to work under multiple, simultaneous strict deadlines, and effectively prioritize projects
- The ability to receive and implement feedback as part of a highly collaborative work environment
- Careful attention to detail and organized to a fault
- Leadership and diplomatic capabilities and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
- Experience with project management software & experience working with brands (B2B & B2C) - required
- Experience with backend technical systems
- Enthusiasm about emerging audio formats and the potential for innovative brand opportunities
- A creative, diplomatic, mindset, suited toward reconciling feedback from multiple stakeholders while always keeping the listener in mind
- Be familiar with and have an enthusiasm for Ringer.com LLC content, especially in sports
- You’re obsessed with the Spotify platform; our content, data, tools, and products
- You have a deep understanding of and enthusiasm for podcasts, music, culture (particularly youth culture), technology, design, audio and video content, and branding
