Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring Status

About the Team:
The Technical Documentation team sits in the heart of the engineering web. Every day, we work with engineers, product owners, designers, and QA to build highly detailed documentation about our products, features, and platforms. We support front and back-end teams across multiple offices in multiple countries, all in the name of promoting and supporting the highest quality anime video streaming services. We also offer editorial services and support to non-engineering teams across the Crunchyroll ecosystem to cultivate a company-wide Knowledge Sharing culture.
About You:
Searching for a quick-witted technical writer to join a growing team of grammar enthusiasts. You will be documenting processes, runbooks, user guides, templates, and other types of documentation for platform services, front-end applications, and other internal technical tools.
- 1-3 years’ experience in technical writing
- Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities
- Experience with Atlassian Confluence and Jira
- Attention to detail
- Able to communicate in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
- Skilled at prioritization and multitasking
- Unafraid to display technical writer nerdery!
A Day In The Life Of Our Technical Writer:
- Works at the direction of the documentation manager who coordinates all documentation projects.
- Gathers, analyzes, and composes information working in conjunction with subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Conducts research and ensures the use of accurate technical terminology.
- Translates SME information into clear, readable documents and process maps to be used by users
- Engages in formatting, editing, and quality assurance on own work and the work of others.
- Ensures documents are technically and mechanically accurate, and consistent with regard to flow, organization, completeness, and readability.
