Auction Associate

Role Type: Full time - 100% Remote

Work Schedule: Must work Saturdays and Sundays, but the remainder of work week can be flexible.

Base Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 USD depending on experience

Location: We will consider all applicants located in the United States. Please note that applicants must be authorized to work within the United States.

Job Summary:

The Auction Associate will be responsible for guiding and supporting Cars & Bids’ sellers through the listing preparation process and ensuring that all customers receive excellent and timely support as well as expedient listing turnaround times. 

Duties will include reviewing accepted submissions for completeness, communicating with sellers to gather necessary information, and generally supporting the auction listing process. In this role, they will be working closely with the Senior Auction Manager, the Managing Editor, the submission Intake Team, and our team of Auction Specialists to support sellers and create detailed, thorough, and accurate auction listings.

The Auction Associate will:

• Guide sellers through the listing and auction process.
• Work with sellers to gather the necessary media and information in preparation for auction.
• Verify information provided by sellers to ensure an accurately presented auction and a smooth transaction for all parties.
• Collaborate with the Auction Specialist team to process submissions, standardize information, and guide sellers throughout the listing preparation process.
• Provide all Cars & Bids sellers with exceptional customer support.

The ideal Auction Associate will have:

• In-depth knowledge of vehicle sales and transactions, including title statuses, title transfer processes, and more.
• A customer-centric mindset and a focus on customer support. 
• A professional customer-facing demeanor and the ability to quickly communicate with clarity, succinctness, and precision. 
• Exceptional written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of the Google platform and tools, as well as basic spreadsheet tools. 
• A deep passion for, and knowledge of, cars from the 1980s to present.
• Previous customer service training and experience, ideally at an automobile dealership or similar. 
• An interest in process development and improvement. 
• A proven track record of cross-team collaboration.
• Enthusiasm for a “startup” environment within a small, fast-growing business.
