The Role

Pantheon is currently looking for a motivated, proactive and energetic individual to join the company's Finance team as a full-time, remote member. The Billing and Collection Analyst will play a critical role to ensure our billing and collections are accurate, timely and effective.  You will play a critical role in the growth in both revenue and cash flows as Pantheon grows!  You will report to the Billing Manager and will help with our Billing and Collection functions.

Cool Things You’ll Do

As the Billing and Collections Analyst, you will be joining our Accounting team during a pivotal time for Pantheon as we have recently transitioned to Zuora Billing and are working on streamlining billing for a major customer.  You will play a vital role in billing & payment applications. Helping to  establish best  practices as well as ensuring customer payments are applied in a timely manner. .

• Payment applications including, checks, ACH and credit memos against outstanding invoices 
• Utilize the Zen Desk ticketing system to route, tag, and resolve billing inquiries.
• Ensure customers are accurately set up and invoiced in our Zuora billing system; review bills for accuracy and completeness.
• Work collections for significant Pantheon customers.
• Remittance retrieval via third party portals
• Identify and catalog important points of contact for Pantheon customers.
• The ability to work with, and register Pantheon as a vendor with third party payment portals
• Add P.O. numbers, update customer information, and initiate credit & refund requests. 
• Work within the finance team, Sales Team, Deal Desk, and RevOps to improve A/R and Billing processes, policies and procedures.   
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing and reporting.

What you Bring to the Table

• BA/BS degree a plus but not required
• 3-5 Years of A/R, Payment Applications, Collections and Billing experience
• Attention to detail, professional awareness and a sense of urgency with a customer-oriented mindset; be able to spot errors and exceptions 
• Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
• Understanding of GAAP, accounting processes and concepts related to billing and collections
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers
• Experience with Salesforce, Zuora, ZenDesk and Tesorio
• Ability to work independently, multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to exhibit critical thinking, problem solve, gather and disseminate information internally. 

 Bonus Points For:

• SAAS industry experience
• Experience in working with international customers 
• Payment portal experience
