We are seeking an Business and Finance Operations Intern to help us redefine the physical and digital music industry. elasticStage is building the world’s first on-demand vinyl and CD platform, unlocking physical music for the Digital Creator era. By 2030, there will be over 250 million music creators globally, most locked out of physical formats due to high minimum runs and operational complexity. elasticStage solves this through patented on-demand vinyl and CD manufacturing technology, powering a free-to-use platform where creators can produce and sell physical releases worldwide with no upfront costs or minimum quantities.

As a Business and Strategy Intern, you will spend up to 3 months (flexible for shorter) working directly with the Head of Operations to help set up how elasticStage runs end-to-end This is a project-based internship. We will pick the right opportunities together based on what is most impactful at the time and where your strengths sit. Expect to take 2-3 projects end-to-end, partnering with leadership and key business areas You will be based in our Kings Cross office and report to, Head of Operations. We value intellectual curiosity, a strong builder mindset and practical experimentation. You will be as comfortable scoping a process or building a model as you are prototyping a workflow yourself with AI tooling.
This internship will run for up to 3 months, with flexibility depending on availability. Applications will close on 11 June 2026.
Responsibilities
- Support the rollout and optimisation of operational planning and OKR processes (tools, processes, data infrastructure, ceremonies). Make it AI-native so anyone in the company can set, review and update OKRs progress efficiently through AI tooling, with metrics flowing automatically from the data layer.
- Support with the leadership operating cadence (weekly leadership meeting, monthly business reviews, quarterly and annual planning, post-mortems and decision logs), embedding AI into pre-read generation, action tracking and decision-making.
- Build the internal knowledge base across strategy and operations so everyone in the company always has equal, up-to-date context on direction and progress.
- Design and run elasticStage’s first formal budgeting process, including CAPEX investment across new facilities, machines and R&D.
- Support finance and Operational process improvement initiatives for multi-market ecommerce and multi-site manufacturing, including tax architecture and the underlying tech stack (payments, payouts, currency settlement, ERP and inventory systems).
- Build the foundations of an AI-native finance infrastructure: guardrails so every team can interact with budgets and financial data in a decentralised way, and automation of repetitive finance processes.
Requirements
Core Experience
- Strong analytical capability with interest or exposure to strategy, operations, finance or high-growth business environments.
- Ideally, previous experience in consulting or project-based roles.
- Ideally, financial modelling and analytical skills, with a track record of building models
- Demonstrated ability to run value creation projects end-to-end with a high degree of autonomy: opportunity generation, sizing, prioritisation, plan design and execution.
- Comfort owning data and metrics infrastructure: defining KPI frameworks, building dashboards, working directly with data tools. SQL familiarity is a plus.
Analytical & AI Builder Mindset
- Strong analytical capability, with experience translating ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, clear recommendations and operational decisions.
- Demonstrates curiosity to increase technical leverage over time, using AI tools to accelerate prototyping, automation and iteration, including building the workflows yourself.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity with a bias toward action, excited to build and ship in a 3-month window.
- Strong communicator who can “lead without authority”
