Anthos Private Wealth Management BV (APWM) is the entity that is responsible for private wealth management and fund management in the group, and who is looking for a Business Manager with the main responsibilities in fund management related tasks. APWM is regulated by the Autoriteit Financiële Markten.

Purpose of the role

The funds managed by APWM include a range of funds (public and private equity, real estate, bonds, hedge funds, and cash; these funds are in the form of fund-of-fund investments). The funds are offered to family members across Europe by Investment Advisors in a highly personalized approach. The Business Manager supports the organization by coordinating a number of key processes and works in close collaboration with the investment advisor team with a focus on fund management activities and ensures an in-control environment.

Your responsibilities

Fund Management

  • In close cooperation with the Head of Fund Management responsible for maintaining the full fund structure, in terms of compliance with investment guidelines, regulatory reporting, tax, investor documentation etc.
  • Responsibility for maintaining the relationship with the external depositary; first point of contact towards the depositary, supporting the information exchange between fund administration and depositary, coordinate the annual due diligence process performed by the depositary
  • Support of investment related monitoring activities: both fund monitoring as well as monitoring of our (external) asset managers. This includes generating overviews (i.e. performance, cost and KPI monitoring), conduct quality controls, executing analysis and take care of fund- and regulatory reporting
  • Ownership of all regulatory reporting processes: ensure all processes executed by Finance, APWM and AFAM are running according to plan and ensure on-time delivery
  • Help improving the current fund management insight and oversight reporting, by digging deeper into the information as provided by AFAM and report on it in a structured way, supporting/coordinating the financial risk management of the funds
  • Take the initiative to improve relevant processes in order to be better in control, including updating dashboard reporting on progress and status to the Board and automating where possible
  • Support product management activities in the context of the product approval and maintenance process: overseeing fund documents, run improvement and implementation projects and act as secretary to the product governance and approval committee
  • Oversight on the external fund accountant: check results, reports, challenge where needed
  • Coordinate the annual accounts production for the funds, ensure a good cooperation between AFAM, APWM and the auditor, resulting in an on-time delivery of qualitative annual accounts
  • General Business Support tasks within APWM:
    Know Your Client: ensure high KYC quality standards are met and maintained by the client facing staff. This includes addressing quality issues, ensuring all profiles are approved and set up in line with the established (regulatory) standards of the group, assisting first line compliance activities within the context of the KYC process etc.  
  • Client Reporting: keep Client Reporting up to date with regulatory requirements
  • Outsourcing Management: organize and execute oversight on outsourced activities of APWM, which includes supporting the responsible first line with being in control by maintaining a dashboard of all relevant control activities
  • Process Management: act as a process manager supporting process owners and process champions with the maintenance of process descriptions in Signavio (a visualization tool we use to stay in control of our operations), drive regular process reviews and ensure up to date documentation
  • Internal audit: be point of contact for all internal audit related requests, proactively highlight audit and compliance issues to the management team and ensure that all existing and future audit recommendations are handled and remitted with a high-quality standard and in a timely manner
  • Anthos Digital Platform: maintain the internal APWM client website
  • Regulatory Oversight: support implementation of regulatory requirements, such as SFDR reporting
  • Project Management: take ownership respectively support APWM internal projects were required

 

Your profile

  • BA or MA in business administration or accounting required
  • Several years of experience in fund management, for example in a senior fund accounting role
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills and an ability to translate those in concrete deliverables (reports, dashboards, client communication)
  • Project management skills and experience
  • A clear can-do mentality, independent work attitude and feeling comfortable in reaching out to others
  • Experience with regulatory processes is preferred
  • Private Wealth Management experience is beneficial
  • The language used in the team is  Dutch and English and proficiency in both is important. A lot of our work is performed in English
