Chief Compliance Officer

We are on the hunt for an incredible Chief Compliance Officer who knows what it takes to design, implement, and manage a scalable and best-in-class compliance function suitable for a fast-growing, dynamic firm with complex operations.

What You'll Do

  • Provide leadership for building ongoing compliance review processes and filings for a Registered Investment Advisor
  • Design the compliance framework and operations for an Investment Management platform across front, middle and back offices
  • Manage and coordinating all relevant regulatory filings and examinations
  • Ensure compliance with United States and Blue Sky laws
  • Provide oversight and direction of external business partners, specifically external outside counsel, third party compliance services, software vendors, and placement agent

What You Have

  • 5+ years of relevant compliance experience
  • College degree required
  • Rule 206(4)-7 states, “An [investment] adviser’s chief compliance officer should be competent and knowledgeable regarding the [Investment] Advisers Act and should be empowered with full responsibility and authority to develop and enforce appropriate policies and procedures for the firm.  Extensive experience in Investment Management & managed portfolios compliance function.
  • Demonstrated expertise in RIA AUM/Managed portfolio compliance, diligence, front, middle, back-offices, and accounting
  • Act as our appointed SEC regulatory liaison, managing regulatory audits and exams
  • Develops an overall strategic vision for the compliance functional areas of RIA which effectively manages and mitigates risk, establishes proper controls, supports business initiatives and protects the company from legal and regulatory risk
  • Executes on strategic & consistent approaches to compliance reviews, issues and/or concerns to minimize the enterprise’s exposure
  • Proactively collaborates with other departments as needed to ensure compliance issues are addressed, investigated, resolved
  • Works with HR to develop an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers
  • Consult with Sales & Marketing, Operations and other departments on compliance, supervision, management, and complaint issues
