Chief of Staff

AT A GLANCE

The Chief of Staff will operate as a strategic advisor for the CEO and will serve as a main point on his behalf for both internal and external stakeholders. This role is ideal for a hard working Senior Director who is interested in using this as a launching point for a career as a Chief Operations Officer, General Manager or other C-Suite function. This position will enable him/her to see what it takes to run a multi-billion dollar organization and will give this candidate the opportunity to get practice sitting in a senior leadership role. The Chief of Staff will have access to highly confidential information on people, strategy and financials. This hire will require extraordinary discretion and judgment.

Note: This role will be participating in a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work days in Fort Mill, SC.

What You’ll Do

  • Acts as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior management team
  • Represents CEO with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drafts presentations, budgets, and strategic planning on behalf of the CEO
  • Supports the CEO in all meetings by taking notes and assuming responsibility for completion of action items
  • Acts as the liaison between CEO and other executives, clients, and stakeholders to ensure consistent communication and ensuring involvement or decision-making at the proper time
  • Participates with the CEO and senior management team in strategic planning, policy development, and decision-making
  • Ensures timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of high importance to the CEO
  • Creates and maintains systems and processes to streamline operations.
  • Prepare CEO for upcoming meetings or presentations, represent them in meetings and take detailed notes, and create strategy to ensure completion of meeting action items. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive and provide recommendations to improve organizational processes and operations.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years experience as a consultant, general manager, or finance leader within the health and/or digital industries. 
  • Prior experience working with executive leaders.
  • Can anticipate and avert problems via creative problem solving and high emotional intelligence. 
  • Able to easily grasp and add value to the CEO’s vision.
  • Has organizational and political intelligence
  • Can simplify complexity and adjust tone/delivery depending on the audience. 
  • Can manage the process of idea to execution via superior organization and attention to detail.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced environment; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willing to offer up a point of view, even if unfavorable. Has courage to push back and knows when to adjust opinions based on new data. 
  • Candidate must be willing to work in office T-Th where possible.

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Starting Salary: $147,075 - $230,000 (plus bonus potential)
