What's the role about
This is a Central Bank of Ireland Pre Controlled Function role (PCF 42) and will be the accountable person for PS EU in relation to operation functions. The role will primarily be responsible for managing the oversight of PS EU’s Outsourcing activities. Partnering with Finance, Technology, Marketing, Sales and Product and other stakeholders from across Paysend Group to develop the firm's Operational Resilience Program and design and and operate innovative financial services for individual consumers and SMEs across the Region
What you’ll be doing
- Oversee and lead the firms operational functions in Ireland.
- Develop and own the day-to-day responsibility for managing outsourced services provided by Paysend Group ensuring that Paysend EU operates in full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Work closely with Legal, Compliance and Risk on major regulatory/policy requirements
- Lead and build a robust operations resilience framework and establish a good working relationship with Technology and other functions within Paysend Group.
- Collaborate with other members of Paysend EU’s Executive Committee to develop, implement and manage operational plans, processes, and people to support the growth of Paysend in the EEA.
- Support the Group COO on cross functional programmes and initiatives across Paysend.
- Design and implement innovative and scalable operational processes that increase efficiency for Paysend Group.
- Evaluate business performance and productivity, and report regularly on issues and challenges experienced in the EU market that impact on Paysend likelihood of success
- Support and maintain the IT infrastructure on which the Paysend financial services are hosted and delivered
- Interface with our Customer Support team to ensure excellent customer satisfaction with the delivery of services from Paysend
- Build strong partnerships with local representatives of financial and technology partners that enable Paysend to deliver our regulated financial services across EU
What you’ll need to be successful in the role
- Hold or previously held a Central Bank of Ireland "Pre-approval controlled function", PFC-42, Chief Operating Officer role
- Educated to MBA or degree level;
- 5+ years of experience in senior/leadership roles for organisations in the financial services industry, preferably with prior exposure to payment operations, with both domestic and international focus;
- Experienced in growing early-stage business preferred
- Solid understanding of the European regulatory landscape for financial services, including requirements around management oversight and outsourcing;
- Prior exposure to managing and overseeing outsourced service providers;
- Good understanding of how the various functions of a regulated financial services business operate (e.g. Product, Tech, Financial Crime, Marketing, Payment Operations, Compliance, Finance, Legal, Risk, Audit, etc).
- Strong manager and leader capable of building high-performing teams and leading a multi-level organisation
- Ability to work closely with a group Senior Management team and geographically dispersed functions, networking internally and building confidence
- Experience in analysing and quantifying complex strategic issues tied to long term business growth
- A self-starter and independent learner who takes the initiative to challenge the status quo
- Passionate about technology and with an interest in disrupting the future with digital solutions
