Co-op Biomedical Engineering Technologist

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Status: Temporary, Full-Time (4 month contract)

Duties:

Come learn how to support innovative medical equipment with leading experts in our Medical Engineering Department. This co-op placement is for students that are currently enrolled in a biomedical engineering technologist program and is highly practical. During the placement, students will assist with the technical support of medical devices by:  

  • Performing preventive maintenance 
  • Repairing and maintaining devices
  • Providing a variety of service support to BME staff to ensure the highest possible reliability and performance of systems 
  • Performing quality assurance on devices 
  • Performing incoming inspections 
  • Helping to organize service and quality assurance records 
  • Completing other non-technical tasks as assigned by the BME Manager 
  • Current Student in a Biomedical Engineering Technologist program
  • Current Students in a Biomedical Engineering Technologist co-op program are preferred.
