Compliance Operations Associate

The Operations Compliance Associate will be responsible for addressing copyright infringement and intellectual property related matters as they arise, and will help to improve our documentation and policy development processes. The successful candidate will be an extremely organized and process-oriented individual who is able to think and act with sound judgment, especially in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Operations Compliance Associate will report to our Director of Compliance and work cross-functionally with team members across the Legal, Product, Engineering and Marketing organizations.

Here are some ways you’ll make an impact:
- Ability to quickly respond to an increasing volume of compliant copyright and relevant legal inquiries
- Track DMCA and Trademark escalations and continually reduce handling time
- Develop and implement policies related to DMCA and Trademark issues
- Own, manage and document compliance projects from start to finish
- Develop and implement internal training documentation and build the knowledge base for the compliance team
- Improve and implement new processes, tools, and workflows to keep up with the fast growing demand to stay compliant with current guidelines
- Identify opportunities to improve our existing operational processes and develop functional documentation and training materials for use across the team
- Escalate DMCA takedown requests and communicate effectively within the compliance and legal team
- Conduct testing to determine efficiency of compliance with the DMCA and privacy requirements
- Collaborate with internal and/or external legal teams to handle legal escalations
- Work with the legal team to monitor and follow industry best practices
- Regularly report on key performance and operational indicators to respective team leads
Are you our Compliance Operations Associate?
- At least 1 year of relevant experience with Copyright/DMCA, GDPR and Privacy
- Outstanding project management skills ensuring that tasks are scheduled, assigned and completed appropriately
- Experience with ticket management systems and content removal
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and is able to successfully and diplomatically handle challenging situations and conversations
- Dedicated teammate who takes pride in their work, lends a helping hand to others, and embraces a true team-based culture
Bonus Points:
- Experience working for a prominent UGC platform
- Experience with Zendesk or a similar tool
