Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring Status
Crunchyroll employees are currently working from home, and we are still conducting remote interviews and hiring during this time. This role is expected to start remotely, and we’ll work closely with you as we understand every person has unique circumstances.

About The Team
The Crunchyroll Content Operations Team (or COPS for short) is a growing group of operations specialists who are responsible for delivering the best anime to our passionate audiences. This is a very collaborative team with members in San Francisco, Dallas and Los Angeles. We work alongside the programming and localization teams to ensure our subscribers have the best experience on Crunchyroll. Our team reviews, processes and localizes thousands of hours of content from dozens of partners and our own production studio. Our role is mission-critical to the success of Crunchyroll and we are constantly committed to keeping the bar high for all content that goes live across Crunchyroll brands.
About You:
- Able to work from (11-7PT/2-10ET) Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays and holidays
- 2-4 years of experience working with a central ingest materials team, post-production video team or streaming media metadata team
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, business, or a media-related field of study
- Robust English proofreading skills
- Previous video production or quality control experience is preferred
- Experience working with content management systems (CMS)
- Familiarity with Media Asset Management (MAM) systems a plus
- Knowledge of common video, audio, and subtitle issues are preferred
- Experience with Premiere, Avid, Final Cut or other video editing software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with changing deadlines
- Ability to problem solve, communicate and work well with others, both within and outside of the department. Prior experience within Slack a plus
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends & holidays
- Willing to travel to Dallas, SF or LA 10% of the time
A day in the life of our Content Operations Specialist:
- Create, distribute, and publish metadata for simulcast and catalog releases
- Receive, ingest, and deliver digital assets to internal & external business partners
- Conform and edit video & audio assets as needed
- Distribute outbound materials to partners for content localization
- Ability to think outside the box, problem solve and communicate with global partners
- Spot-check and perform full Quality Control (QC) of encoded digital video
- Identify and document QC issues pertaining to audio, video, subtitles, and translation
- Demonstrate an ability to sit and watch multiple episodes to meet tight deadlines
- An opportunity to take prior work experience and pitch new creative & efficient methods for how we operate within the Crunchyroll’s production team
