About the Role

Reporting to the Associate Director, OpEx (in the interim, Sr. Director of Production), you will support OpEx teams in delivering continuous improvement projects across E2E operations, from defining opportunities, data analysis, solutions, implementation and process change management on the shop floor. As a part of the OpEx team, you will play a key role in improving our operational reliability, efficiency, waste, and helping us deliver the best possible value to our customers by developing a deep understanding of our processes, data and technology.

What you will be doing:

• Quickly understand and communicate complex processes to others
• Take ownership of core warehouse, production, and manufacturing processes by driving standardization and continuous improvement
• Create and manage process maps for operational systems
• Act as a key user of tools used in site operations, representing site operations to cross-functional stakeholders and HelloFresh Canada to internal global stakeholders 
• Leverage large internal datasets to drive decisions, identify and quantify opportunities, and prioritize to deliver improvements in cost, quality, and delivery
• Apply leadership and change management skills to help drive priorities including new product launches, technology changes, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct root cause and failure mode & effects analysis to mitigate risks and prevent recurring issues related to product quality, pick and pack accuracy, min/box efficiency, and ingredient waste
• Promote an engaging, collaborative, performance-focused work environment; promote a learning culture by facilitating knowledge sharing and training sessions to team members
• Develop and deliver communication and change management plans to internal and external stakeholders to identify and remove project implementation risks and roadblocks and effectively implement and sustain operational changes
• Create standard operating procedures, documentation and other visual management tools
• Track project progress and KPIs; Collaborate with our data team to create dashboards for reporting metrics to track progress.

At a minimum, you have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a similar field
• 1-3 years of experience working in operations management, consulting or a related field
• A natural curiosity to understand how different systems/processes work and a bias for action to improve them
• A proactive and ambitious mindset: you take ownership of your work and think beyond the scope of a given assignment
• Quantitative and analytical experience (either through education or professional experience), including expertise with G-Suite, Excel, and procurement systems
