Coordinator, Marketing Events & Multimedia

The Coordinator, Marketing Events and Multimedia, is a unique role focused on developing memorable fan experiences at Ottawa Senators games. Responsibilities include planning, supporting and executing game themes, specialty events, marketing programs and fan communication. The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude, with a passion to create meaningful moments for fans of the Ottawa Senators and guests at Canadian Tire Centre. This role requires attendance at certain game days and events outside standard business hours.

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Marketing, Events & Promotions

Main Responsibilities

Street Team

• Lead Sens Street Team, identifying and confirming attendance at key events within the community
• Hold certifications for inflatables and act as on-site lead at large scale activations
• Schedule Brand Ambassadors for events, while supplying event summaries in advance of executions
• Support in development and execution of event and marketing programs, including submitting requests, developing copy, receiving approvals and moving projects towards the finish line
  

Promotions Planning

• Support in development of unique game themes to entertain a variety of fans
• Develop event information collateral for digital publication
• Submit creative requests with appropriate specs and information to creative department within appropriate timelines
  

Multimedia Support

• Support Canadian Tire Centre Social channels by creating content calendars
• Monitor Canadian Tire Centre Twitter and Facebook inboxes for fan questions, responding an a professional and timely manner
• Monitor and respond to fan survey feedback when appropriate
• Develop and execution lead generation opportunities with Sensplexes during peak season
• Support with internal and external communications as required

Requirements

• University or college sports marketing or communications graduate, or related field, previous experience in sports considered an asset
• Excellent time management skills with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, maintaining a team mentality
• Excellent attention to detail
• Passionate about the sports and/or entertainment industry
• Bilingual (English & French) is a strong asset
