Country Manager

The company was founded in 2010 and has a presence throughout Europe, including in the UK, Belgium, France, Romania, Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Germany, Finland and Austria. It is an entirely cloud-based licensed e-money institution for the provision of payment services in the countries of the European Economic Area and is a Principal member of MasterCard and Visa for issuing and acquiring services and a partner to leading global companies, such as Microsoft and AllPay. As part of our ongoing expansion, we are now looking to establish Viva Wallet in Norway and are looking for an energetic, dynamic and entrepreneurial Country Manager to establish, grow and lead our operations in Norway.
Overview:
Are you an experienced business Leader from a new-business sales background with a proven track record in establishing, growing and leading Payments/Fintech organisations/start-ups from the ground up?
With the support of our HQ in Athens, Greece, you will take lead accountability in all aspects of the establishment and development of our Norwegian operations, ensuring that it takes its place among the ever-expanding family of Viva Wallet branches across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
- Establish the Norwegian Viva Wallet branch and its presence with the local payments market;
- Define and implement the growth strategy for the Norwegian market;
- Manage the P&L of the country, including steering the development of revenue;
- Acquire, manage and grow our agency/trading desk and direct brand client portfolio;
- Meet on a regular basis with key account holders in agencies to identify revenue streams and potential future business opportunities;
- Support the data onboarding team locally by establishing data partnerships with both, large corporations and agile smaller companies across several industries (retail, hardware, etc.);
Requirements
- Proven ability to deliver against (and exceed) ambitious new business sales and performance targets;
- Expert understanding of the payments sector, coupled with a background in banking/fintech;
- Demonstrable experience in developing SEO presence through strong in-house operations, link and content development, and outsourcing where appropriate;
- An understanding of how to optimize search engine marketing spend;
- The ability to test new channels and approaches, whilst measuring and improving performance and efficiency to maximize growth rate;
- The ability to manage the delivery of all local marketing initiatives;
- Strong commercial understanding of internet marketing/advertising business models (CPC,CPA,CPMetc.);
- Experience of maintaining and growing business from an existing customer base;
- Proven ability to grow a balanced portfolio of clients through new customer acquisition;
- The ability to deliver against stretching sales and revenue targets;
- Native Norwegian speaker, and excellent use of English;
- Ηands-on attitude and be highly numerate;
- An outstanding “sales nature” with very strong communication & presentation skills;
