Creative Lead (GaaS)
TLDR
Owns live products roadmaps and content loops for a AAA GaaS title, translating vision into engaging events and monetization aligned with player value.
- Defining and evolving the live products roadmaps in alignment with the Creative Director and Development Director.
- Translating high-level vision/goals into actionable content beats (events, updates, features).
- Ensuring GaaS content feels cohesive with the core fantasy and player expectations.
- Designing engaging live content loops (seasonal arcs, events, limited-time modes) that are:
- High in perceived value for players
- Low-to-medium in production cost (reuse, remix, systemic design)
- Systemic and reusable to maximize output efficiency
- Leveraging existing assets and mechanics wherever possible
- Identifying “smart content” opportunities that balance novelty, sustainability, and cost.
- Aligning monetization with gameplay loops, ensuring player value.
- Setting success metrics, analyzing performance, and iterating based on data and player behavior.
- Aligning cross-functional teams (design, art, narrative, tech, marketing) around creative intent.
- Reporting to Creative Director, Development Director and leadership on live performance, player sentiment, risks and opportunities; present clear recommendations.
- Monitoring player sentiment, community feedback, and market trends to inform decisions.
- Leading, mentoring, and challenging the team—ensuring high standards, pragmatism, and player-first execution.
- Proven experience leading live service (GaaS) development on a shipped AAA title.
- Strong track record of owning or shaping product vision, roadmap, and live content strategy.
- Deep expertise in systemic game design, player motivation, and long-term engagement loops.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-impact content using scalable, cost-efficient approaches.
- Strong data literacy—comfortable defining KPIs and driving decisions from live performance metrics.
- Experience designing or closely collaborating on player-first monetization systems.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership skills across design, art, tech, narrative, and product.
- Ability to critically evaluate ideas and make pragmatic trade-offs (scope, cost, impact).
- Understanding of current live service trends in open world games.
- Very good command of English.
